e4 Music sting

    A doodle dances in our hand drawn ident for E4 Music, before he wraps his headphones lead around himself and unplugs the music.

    For this short character driven project rough poses were thumb-nailed out, before diving into the animation. The digital animation was given a hand drawn feel by drawing loose and using a custom brush to give the line its rough edge.

    The E4 ident was one of the lucky 30 entrants selected by Channel 4 to air on E4.

    We had a fantastic response to the sting. It was selected by the judges as a finalist in the e-stings competition and aired as part of the E4 Music slot on E4. It also appeared in print in February's Creative Review article on the competition.

    The sting screened in 2007‘s Characters in Motion: Pictoplasma Festival in Berlin, with directors ginny+garth in attendance. They were throughly embarrassed/delighted to be asked up with the other entrees to talk about the short.
